Questions you may have
What happens at a vaccination appointment?

When your pet comes in for a vaccination appointment, we assess their overall health and then administer their vaccines. We will proceed with the vaccination only if we determine that your pet is in good health on that day.

Are there any side effects of vaccinations?

Vaccines are very safe, but mild side effects can occur, including mild sleepiness, reduced appetite, a small lump at the injection site. These usually resolve within 24–48 hours.

Contact us immediately if you notice: vomiting, swelling of the face, difficulty breathing. These reactions are rare, but require prompt care.

What vaccine brand do you use, and can you switch from another brand?
We use Nobivac vaccinations which are compatible with Canigen vaccinations when used for primary vaccination courses. We can still carry out primary vaccinations for pets who have received vaccinations with other brands and this very often has minimal impact on your pet's ability to get out and socialise once it is safe to do so!
Speak to us if you have any specific questions.
